通過家庭榮耀歸給我們的天父
On 28th and 29th October church members from around Taiwan gathered together for the annual retreat in Tai An, Miaoli County. The theme for the weekend was “Glory to the Father with our Family.”
十月二十八日和二十九日，來自台灣各地的教友聚集在苗栗縣泰安每年一度的聚會。 週末的主題是“與家人一起榮耀天父”。
The weekend started off with an activity for young and old to get to know each other a little better. A set of numbers (date of birth, Date of holy sealing, telephone number, anniversary…) were written on the four corners of a page and participants had fun guessing and learning something new about each other. Later, some Bible trivia had everyone brainstorming with questions such as;
這個週末以一個活動開始來讓年輕人和老年人的更互相了解一點。 一組數字（出生日期，聖靈印記日期，電話號碼，週年紀念……）被寫在頁面的四個角落，參與者從猜測中得到樂趣且彼此增進了解。 後來，例舉一些問題來自聖經內容讓大家集思廣益，像是
Q: Where in the Bible can we read about the first offering box?
A: “Then Jehoiada the priest took a chest, bored a hole in its lid, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into the house of the Lord; and the priests who kept the door put there all the money brought into the house of the Lord.” (2Kings 12:9 – NKJV)
問：在聖經的哪個地方我們可以讀到關於第一個供獻箱呢？
答：祭司耶何耶大取了一個櫃子，在櫃蓋上鑽了一個窟窿，放於壇旁，在進耶和華殿的右邊；守門的祭司將奉到耶和華殿的一切銀子投在櫃裡。

Q: How many people does the bible say, saw God?
A: Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel,
Exo 24:10 and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. (Exodus 24:9 -10 – NKJV)

答：摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞比戶，並以色列長老中的七十人，都上了山。

The programme later continued with a choir practice and a presentation and discussion on BEING EXAMPLES TO OUR PARTNERS AND OUR CHILDREN. With texts such as, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 – NKJV), the presentation started off exhorting all in attendance, to secure a future for the younger generation, in God’s work.
節目後, 繼續合唱團的練習,介紹和討論舉例，如何當我們另一伴和我們孩子的榜樣。 經文寫道：“教養孩童，使他走當行的道，就是到老他也不偏離。”（箴言22：6 -），介紹一開始就勸告所有參加的人，確保年輕一代的未來能為上帝的工作。
As it is that all good things have to come to an end, the weekend was beautifully rounded off with a divine service conducted by Apostle Wolf who used the following text word as a foundation for the divine service:

But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.

Get to know me: Can you guess what these numbers/letters are, I am holding up? (A birthday? A wedding anniversary? Part of my unusually long name?)
